Saturday, April 25, 2026- Psalm 94:1-23
When God Steps In
by Torrie Slaughter
There are moments when injustice feels loud… and God feels quiet.
Psalm 94 opens with a cry: “O Lord, God of vengeance… shine forth!” It’s the honest plea of someone who sees wrong being done and is waiting for God to respond.
And waiting can test your peace.
Because when things are unfair, misunderstood, or even painful, the natural response is to take matters into your own hands. To defend. To react. To fix what feels broken.
But this Psalm gently redirects us.
It reminds us that God sees everything. Nothing escapes His attention. Every action, every word, every hidden motive—He knows.
And more than that, He is not passive.
“When anxiety was great within me, Your consolation brought me joy.” (v. 19)
That line is the turning point.
Peace is not the absence of tension.
It is the presence of God in the middle of it.
When you trust that God will step in at the right time, you are freed from the pressure to control everything now.
You don’t have to rush justice.
You don’t have to force outcomes.
You can rest in the confidence that God is both aware and active.
So if today feels heavy, uncertain, or unresolved—hold steady.
God is not ignoring you.
He is positioning things in ways you cannot yet see.
🙏🏽 Prayer
Lord, when I feel overwhelmed or unsettled, remind me that You see everything. Help me to trust Your timing and release the need to control what is not mine to carry. Let Your presence bring peace to every anxious place within me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
✨ Action Step
Release one situation you’ve been trying to control. Pray over it and intentionally give it back to God.
