Sunday, April 26, 2026- Psalm 95:1–96:13

Return to Joyful Peace

by Torrie Slaughter

After a week of tension, testing, and reflection… God invites us back to joy.

Psalm 95 opens with a call: “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord.” Not because everything is perfect, but because God is still worthy.

This is the reset.

Because peace is not only something we guard—it’s something we celebrate.

Psalm 96 expands that invitation beyond the individual. It calls all the earth to recognize God’s glory, His power, His reign. Even creation responds with praise.

And here’s what’s beautiful:

Joy is not denial of difficulty.
It is the declaration that God is greater than it.

After walking through misunderstanding, decision, testing, and correction this week, you are not meant to stay in heaviness. You are invited to lift your perspective.

To remember who God is.
To rejoice in His faithfulness.
To celebrate the peace that comes from being aligned with Him.

Because when you return to joy, you strengthen your peace.

And when your peace is strengthened, you walk differently.

So don’t just end the week reflecting—end it rejoicing.

🙏🏽 Prayer

Lord, thank You for who You are. Restore joy in my heart and help me to praise You in every season. Let my life reflect Your goodness and draw others to You. Strengthen my peace as I celebrate Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Action Step

Take a moment today to worship—play a song, sing, or simply thank God out loud for His faithfulness this week.
