The Blessing of an Ordered Life

Psalm 128 paints a beautiful picture of blessing. It speaks of fruitful work, joyful families, and the peace that comes from walking with God.

The psalm begins with these words:

"Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways." (Psalm 128:1)

Our culture often defines blessing by possessions or accomplishments. Scripture points us somewhere deeper. True blessing is found in living a life that is aligned with God.

This week we read about the completion of many of the furnishings for the Temple. Every detail mattered because it reflected God's design.

Our lives are much the same.

God cares about the ordinary moments as much as the extraordinary ones. The conversations we have, the choices we make, the way we love our families, and the integrity we carry into our work all become part of the life we are building.

Under the banner of Jehovah Nissi, victory is not simply reaching a destination. Victory is faithfully walking with God day by day.

An ordered life is not a perfect life.

It is a surrendered life.

When we choose to walk in His ways, we discover that His presence is the greatest blessing we could ever receive.

What small area of your daily life is God inviting you to bring into greater alignment with Him?

Prayer

Father, thank You that Your blessings are found in walking closely with You. Help me surrender every part of my life so that it reflects Your goodness and brings glory to Your name. Amen.
