When God Pulls You Out Before You Understand Why

There are moments when God rescues us so quickly that our emotions lag behind the miracle.

In this portion of Psalm 18, David describes being pulled out of deep waters. Not gradually. Not gently. Suddenly. Healing doesn’t always come with closure first—it often comes with safety.

This Psalm teaches us that God’s deliverance may arrive before our understanding does. And that’s okay.

Proverbs tells us that wisdom is the principal thing. Not answers. Not explanations. Wisdom teaches us how to live afterrescue.

Jehovah Rophe heals by bringing us out—and then teaching us how to stand on new ground.

Prayer Pause:
“God, help me trust Your rescue even when my heart is still catching up.”

Healing Step:
After reading, write one sentence: “God pulled me out of ______.” Don’t explain it. Just name it.
