When Healing Turns Into Strength

by Torrie Slaughter

This Psalm shifts. You can feel it.

The language moves from rescue to resilience. From survival to stability. David isn’t just thankful—he’s grounded. This is what healing looks like when it starts to take root.

Jehovah Rophe doesn’t only heal wounds; He strengthens what was once fragile. The same feet that slipped are now trained for battle. The same hands that trembled are now steady.

Proverbs urges us to hold tightly to instruction because life flows from it. Healing that lasts is healing that is guarded.

Prayer Pause:
“Lord, help me walk differently now that You’ve healed me.”

Healing Step:
Ask yourself: What boundary or habit is God strengthening in me right now?
