Psalm 87

You are not forgotten—you are chosen and celebrated.

There’s a quiet ache that comes from wondering if you still matter. Psalm 87 answers that ache with a resounding yes.

“The Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.”

This psalm isn’t about walls or geography—it’s about belonging. God takes delight in His people, not because they’ve achieved something, but simply because they are His.

And then comes the surprise: nations once considered outsiders—Egypt, Babylon, Philistia—are counted among those born in Zion. It’s a prophetic picture of grace stretching across every border. In Christ, there are no outsiders, only family.

Finally, the psalm ends with this stunning line:

“All my fountains are in You.”

Every drop of joy, purpose, and strength flows from God Himself. You don’t have to prove your worth to earn His love; you just have to drink from His grace.

Reflection:
When you feel unseen, remember—you’re written in His city’s book.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for calling me Your own. When I feel overlooked, remind me that Heaven celebrates my name. Let Your living water refresh my spirit and overflow to others, until every weary heart knows it belongs. Amen.
