Reading: Psalm 89
"Even when everything feels uncertain, God’s faithfulness is not."
Some weeks end with victory; others end with questions. Psalm 89 gives voice to both.
“I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make Your faithfulness known through all generations.”
It begins with confidence and ends in confusion—but in every verse, the same truth stands: God’s covenant love never collapses.
The psalmist remembers the promises God made to David, yet he looks around and sees ruin. The crown has fallen, the people are weary, and still he dares to say, “Praise be to the Lord forever.” That’s faith—not the kind that denies reality, but the kind that sings through it.
Sometimes trust looks like worship in the waiting. When life feels suspended between what God said and what you see, remember: His throne is not shaken by your circumstances. His mercy is not canceled by your mistakes. His faithfulness stretches beyond your fatigue.
Reflection:
Endings are just pauses in God’s promises. Every “How long, Lord?” is answered by “Forever faithful.”
Prayer:
Faithful Father, thank You for carrying me through another week. Where I doubted, forgive me. Where I faltered, restore me. As I step into a new beginning, anchor me in Your unchanging love. Let praise rise from my weariness and hope grow from my waiting. Amen.
Sunday Reflection — Preparing for the New Week
Take a moment today to breathe. Look back over the week:
Where did you see God’s hand, even faintly?
What battle did you survive that once felt impossible?
Which verse still lingers in your spirit?
Write it down. Speak it aloud. Let gratitude reset your rhythm.
Tomorrow’s dawn will bring new lessons, but the same faithful God.
As you move into the next theme, carry this truth from Tired but Still Trusting:
“The God who met me in my weakness will walk with me in my renewal.”
