📖 Reading Focus: Psalm 89:14–37
“Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.” — Psalm 89:14
There are seasons when obedience feels lonely—when it seems like the more faithfully you walk with God, the more resistance you face. Psalm 89 reminds us that God’s faithfulness isn’t conditional on our comfort. His throne is built on righteousness and justice—two pillars that never waver even when our strength does.
The psalmist wrestles with God’s promises and the visible chaos of his world, much like we do today. Yet, in verses 33–34, God declares something profoundly reassuring: “I will not remove from him my steadfast love or be false to my faithfulness. I will not violate my covenant or alter the word that went forth from my lips.”
That’s the anchor of our hope—when we are tired, when obedience costs us relationships, or when trust feels like a risk, God’s covenant love remains unchanged. Our obedience, no matter how weary it feels, becomes a declaration that His character can still be trusted.
So today, if you find yourself tired but still trusting, take heart. God hasn’t forgotten what He promised. He’s not asking you to perform—He’s inviting you to rest in His reliability.
🕊️ Prayer:
Lord, when I grow weary of walking in righteousness, remind me that Your love is steadfast and Your covenant unbreakable. Help me to obey even when it’s not popular, trusting that You are building something eternal through my endurance. Amen.
