Psalm 137 is raw. It captures the ache of people who lost what felt familiar, safe, and sacred. Their captors demanded songs, but their hearts were too heavy to sing. This psalm reminds us that God is not distant from our grief — He records it, honors it, and responds to it.

Some wounds feel too deep for words. Some seasons feel like exile — where joy is hard to grasp and worship feels out of reach. But even in these places, God is near. He is not intimidated by your sorrow, your silence, or your anger. He sees the tears you didn’t talk about. He hears the prayers you barely whispered.

Psalm 137 teaches us something vital:
God does not overlook injustice, and He does not ignore suffering.
What broke your heart did not go unnoticed.
What tried to crush your spirit will not get the final say.

The God who breaks what tried to break you also gathers the pieces that pain scattered.

✨ Declaration:

God sees my sorrow, defends my heart, and restores what was stolen.

🙏 Prayer:

Lord, thank You for being near to the brokenhearted. Heal the places within me that still hurt, and remind me that nothing done against me escapes Your sight or surpasses Your justice. Amen.
