Restored Peace

Psalm 4 invites us into the kind of peace that comes at day’s end—a peace strong enough to quiet anxious thoughts and soften restless hearts. David contrasts empty pursuits with the joy found in God’s presence, reminding us that true peace is a gift given, not a feeling manufactured.

The surrounding readings echo this truth. God remembers Noah, calls people into new beginnings, and invites them to listen before destruction or distraction takes hold. Jehovah Rophe restores peace by helping us discern what deserves our attention and what must be released. Rest becomes an act of trust—and trust becomes the soil where restoration grows.

“In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.” — Psalm 4:8

Prayer
God, restore my peace where noise and striving have taken its place. Help me rest tonight knowing You are attentive, present, and faithful.
