Psalm 33:1–11

When God’s Plans Stand

by Torrie Slaughter

Psalm 33 shifts our gaze upward.

It reminds us that while nations plan, people strategize, and hearts grow anxious—God’s purposes remain unshaken. His counsel stands. His word is trustworthy. His plans don’t panic.

This is provision for the overwhelmed soul.

When life feels uncertain, Jehovah Jireh doesn’t always provide answers—He provides assurance. The Psalmist isn’t focused on outcomes; he’s grounded in who God is.

And that’s often what we need most: not clarity, but confidence that God hasn’t lost control.

Today’s Reflection:
Are you trusting your plans more than God’s purpose?

Action Step:
Surrender one worry today and remind yourself: God’s word still stands.
