Great Is the Lord — Even Here

Psalm 48 centers on the beauty and security of God’s dwelling place. It reminds us that true stability comes from His presence, not our circumstances.

“Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the city of our God!” (Psalm 48:1, ESV)

The psalmist celebrates a God who protects, establishes, and sustains. When life feels unstable, it is tempting to measure God’s faithfulness by visible results. But this psalm calls us to remember His past faithfulness as evidence of His present reliability.

“As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the Lord of hosts… God will establish it forever.” (Psalm 48:8, ESV)

What God establishes cannot be undone by delay or opposition. If He has spoken over your life, His word remains active even when progress feels slow. Waiting seasons do not erase His promises; they prepare you to steward them.

Walk through today remembering that your security is not found in how things appear, but in who God has proven Himself to be.
