🌿 Thursday, March 26 — Psalm 68:19–35
Carried Daily by His Strength
by Torrie Slaughter
The second half of Psalm 68 continues the theme of God’s strength, but with a deeper emphasis on His sustaining presence.
“Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation.” (Psalm 68:19, ESV)
The word “daily” matters. God’s help is not reserved for emergencies. It is available in the ordinary moments, the quiet struggles, and the unseen burdens.
“Our God is a God of salvation, and to GOD, the Lord, belong deliverances from death.” (Psalm 68:20, ESV)
God is not limited in how He rescues. His ability to deliver goes beyond what we can see or anticipate. He makes a way even when circumstances appear final.
“Ascribe power to God, whose majesty is over Israel, and whose power is in the skies.” (Psalm 68:34, ESV)
There is a call here to recognize God rightly. When we acknowledge His power, we reposition our hearts. Fear begins to lose its grip when we remember who God is.
“Awesome is God from his sanctuary; the God of Israel—he is the one who gives power and strength to his people.” (Psalm 68:35, ESV)
God does not simply demonstrate strength—He shares it. He equips His people to stand, to endure, and to continue forward.
As you meditate on this psalm, let it remind you that you are not carrying your life alone. God is actively sustaining you.
Reflection Question:
What burden have you been trying to carry on your own that God is inviting you to release to Him?
