Day 89 A Life Built on Trust
Psalm 76 is another Psalm of Asaph, and it carries a tone of awe and reverence. It reflects a moment when God’s power was unmistakable—when He intervened and made His presence known.

Psalm 71 does not name its author, but many believe it reflects the heart of King David in his later years. This is not the voice of someone just beginning their faith journey—this is someone who has walked with God through many seasons.
And now, they are looking back.
“In You, O Lord, I put my trust; let me never be put to shame” (v. 1).
This Psalm carries the weight of experience. It is a prayer from someone who has seen trouble, endured hardship, and yet still declares:
“You have been my hope, O Lord God; my trust from my youth” (v. 5).
What This Psalm Reveals
Psalm 71 is a testimony in motion:
God as refuge from the beginning (v. 1–6)
A life marked by both trouble and deliverance (v. 7–11)
A continued dependence on God in every season (v. 12–18)
A commitment to declare God’s faithfulness to the next generation (v. 18)
This is not a perfect life—it is a sustained relationship.
A Moment to Reflect
This Psalm asks a quiet but important question:
What has your life been built on?
Because when pressure comes, you don’t reach for what you hope is true—you reach for what has been proven in your life.
This Connects to Your Week
Before we talk about alignment, discernment, or victory…
We start here:
A life anchored in trust.
Because everything else this week will flow from this foundation.
Prayer
Lord,
You have been faithful in every season of my life, even in the moments I did not recognize it. Help me to trust You more deeply today. Strengthen my confidence in who You are and remind me that You are my refuge, now and always. Let my life reflect Your faithfulness to others.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Action Step
Take a moment today to write down two ways God has been faithful to you in the past.
