God Has Not Forgotten You

Just when it feels like everything has fallen apart…

God moves.

Psalm 78 shifts again in verse 65:
“Then the Lord awoke as from sleep… like a warrior shouting because of wine.”

It’s a powerful image.

Not because God was ever truly asleep—
but because it felt like He was silent.

And suddenly… He steps in.

He rejects what was broken.
He establishes what is right.
He raises up David to lead with integrity.

Verse 72 says:
“And David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skillful hands he led them.”

This is the nature of Jehovah Shalom.

He restores order where there was chaos.
He brings leadership where there was confusion.
He rebuilds what people thought was lost.

If you’ve ever felt like God was distant…
this is your reminder:

He has not forgotten you.

He is still working—often behind the scenes—
preparing the right moment to move.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being present even when I don’t feel it. Strengthen my trust in You when things seem uncertain. Help me to recognize Your hand at work in my life, even in the waiting. You are my peace and my restoration. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reflection

Where in your life do you need to trust that God is still working behind the scenes?
