Don't Forget His Benefits

A Psalm A Day | Saturday, October 31, 2026
Scripture Reading: Psalm 103:1–22
Focus Scripture: Psalm 103:2

"Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits." — Psalm 103:2 (KJV)

Remembering What God Has Done

Sometimes we become so focused on what we're waiting for that we overlook what God has already done.

Psalm 103 begins with David calling his own soul to bless the Lord.

He intentionally remembers God's forgiveness, healing, redemption, mercy, and compassion.

This is not an invitation to ignore life's difficulties.

It is a reminder that our circumstances should not erase our memory of God's goodness.

As we conclude October, we can look back with gratitude.

Perhaps every prayer hasn't been answered in the way we expected. Perhaps some situations remain unresolved.

But God's compassion and faithfulness remain worthy of praise.

Gratitude helps us remember what discouragement can cause us to overlook.

A Moment to Reflect

What evidence of God's goodness have you neglected to acknowledge recently?

Today's Prayer

Father, thank You for Your mercy, forgiveness, and compassion. Help me remember Your goodness, especially when life feels difficult. May gratitude shape my thoughts and strengthen my trust in You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Today's Action

Make a short gratitude list of five ways God has shown His goodness during October.

Remember: Don't allow today's concerns to erase yesterday's testimonies.
