From Private Faith to Public Witness

by Torrie Slaughter

"Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle." — Psalm 144:1

Faith is never meant to remain hidden.

Throughout this week, we have watched God work beyond what people could see. We have seen provision, healing, protection, wisdom, worship, and deliverance.

Now Psalm 144 reminds us that God prepares His people for purpose.

David acknowledges that every victory, every strength, and every accomplishment comes from the Lord. God was not merely rescuing David. He was training David.

The same is true for us.

Every season of waiting teaches trust.
Every challenge develops perseverance.
Every act of obedience strengthens faith.

By the time Paul stands in Athens in Acts 17, he is not speaking from theory. He is speaking from experience. He has learned that God is faithful, and that confidence allows him to proclaim truth publicly.

Jehovah Nissi does not raise His Banner so His people can remain hidden. He raises His Banner so the world can see who He is through His people.

The faith God has been building in you is meant to become a testimony.

Reflection

How is God inviting you to live your faith more openly and courageously?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for every lesson, every challenge, and every victory. Continue to strengthen my faith so that my life points others toward You. Amen.
