He Calls You Back Through His Healing
by Torrie Slaughter
Key Verse:
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." — Psalm 147:3
Not every wound is visible.
Some people carry disappointment quietly. Others carry regret, grief, exhaustion, or the weight of prayers that seem unanswered. We often become skilled at hiding what only God can truly heal.
Psalm 147 reminds us that the Lord does not begin with our performance. He begins with our pain.
Notice the order of the psalm. Before it speaks of God's power over the stars or His authority over creation, it tells us that He heals broken hearts. The God who numbers the stars also knows every tear you have cried. Nothing about your life is too small for His attention or too broken for His restoration.
Sometimes we believe we must become stronger before coming to God. Scripture teaches the opposite. We come because we are weak. We come because we need Him.
Healing often begins not with a dramatic miracle but with daily surrender. Each moment spent in God's presence allows Him to mend what life has torn apart.
If you have been carrying burdens alone, hear the invitation of Jesus today. He is not calling you back to shame you. He is calling you back to restore you.
Reflection
What wound have you been trying to carry without inviting God into it?
Prayer
Father, thank You for seeing every hidden hurt within my heart. I surrender my pain, my disappointments, and every place where I have tried to heal myself apart from You. Restore what has been broken, strengthen my faith, and remind me that Your love reaches every corner of my life. Help me trust Your healing work one day at a time. In Jesus' name, Amen.
