Remember Whose You Are

A Psalm A Day | Wednesday, October 28, 2026
Scripture Reading: Psalm 100:1–5
Focus Scripture: Psalm 100:3

"Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture." — Psalm 100:3 (KJV)

When Identity Becomes Confusing

There are seasons when we begin defining ourselves by our responsibilities, accomplishments, or disappointments.

We become so occupied with what we're doing that we forget whose we are.

Psalm 100 calls us back to a foundational truth.

The Lord is God. He made us, and we belong to Him.

Our identity does not begin with our productivity.

It begins with our Creator.

And because we belong to Him, we can approach His presence with thanksgiving rather than striving to prove our worth.

Verse 5 reminds us that His goodness, mercy, and truth endure through every generation.

The same faithful God who cared for those before us remains faithful today.

A Moment to Reflect

Have you allowed your responsibilities or circumstances to define you more than your relationship with God?

Today's Prayer

Father, thank You for creating me and calling me to belong to You. Help me release the pressure of defining myself by what I accomplish. Teach me to walk in gratitude, knowing that Your goodness and faithfulness endure forever. In Jesus' name, amen.

Today's Action

Write down three reasons you are thankful to belong to God.

Let your gratitude become an act of worship.

Remember: Before you consider what you must do today, remember whose you are.
