You Remain

A Psalm A Day | Friday, October 30, 2026
Scripture Reading: Psalm 102:1–28
Focus Scripture: Psalm 102:27

"But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end." — Psalm 102:27 (KJV)

When Life Doesn't Look the Same

Psalm 102 begins with the prayer of someone overwhelmed by affliction.

The writer describes sorrow, weakness, loneliness, and the painful awareness that life is passing quickly.

Yet something remarkable happens as the psalm unfolds.

The writer's attention shifts from personal suffering to God's enduring nature.

Everything around him seems temporary.

But God remains.

The heavens and earth themselves will change, yet the Lord's years will never end.

What a fitting reminder as we conclude October studying El Olam, the Everlasting God.

Our circumstances are temporary, but God's existence and faithfulness are not.

We don't have to pretend that change is painless or that suffering is insignificant.

We can bring our honest prayers before the One who remains when everything else seems uncertain.

A Moment to Reflect

What change or disappointment do you need to surrender to the everlasting God?

Today's Prayer

Everlasting Father, thank You for remaining faithful through every season of my life. When circumstances change and I feel uncertain, remind me that You are the same. Help me place my hope in Your eternal character rather than temporary circumstances. In Jesus' name, amen.

Today's Action

Take five quiet minutes to reflect on God's faithfulness throughout October.

Write down one way your understanding of El Olam has deepened.

Remember: Seasons change. Circumstances change. But God remains.
