Reading Focus: Psalm 104

After a week of wrestling, rebuilding, and rising, Psalm 104 feels like a deep, holy exhale. It invites us to look up — away from what’s broken and toward the beauty God continues to sustain.

“Praise the Lord, my soul. Lord my God, You are very great.” (v. 1)
From that opening line, the psalmist reminds us: creation itself is worship. The skies, the seas, the wind — all obey His voice. God wraps Himself in light and stretches out the heavens like a tent. Every detail, from mountain streams to roaring oceans, reflects His wisdom.

After walking through Jeremiah’s warnings, Lamentations’ sorrow, and David’s restoration, this psalm brings perspective — God’s world is still in order even when ours feels undone. The same Creator who feeds the lions and shelters the sparrows is faithful to sustain you too.

“All creatures look to You to give them their food at the proper time.” (vv. 27–28)
Everything waits on His timing. He opens His hand, and life flourishes; He breathes His Spirit, and the earth is renewed. It’s a reminder that God’s work never stops — not in creation, not in your story.

Even the mysterious “Leviathan,” that untamable sea creature, plays under His authority. What frightens us is fun for Him — proof that no chaos is beyond His control.

So after a week of refinement, here’s the invitation: rest. Not because the work is done, but because the Worker never wearies. Worship is how we breathe again.
