Restored Identity

Psalm 149 teaches us that praise is not passive—it is personal. God delights in His people, not because they are flawless, but because they belong to Him. This psalm speaks of joy, dignity, and purpose restored to the faithful. It reminds us that worship reshapes identity.
Jehovah Rophe restores not only what has been damaged, but what has been distorted. Praise becomes a declaration of belonging: “I am still Yours.” Even correction, when received with humility, becomes a tool of healing. God refines because He intends to remain close.
“For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He crowns the humble with salvation.” — Psalm 149:4
Prayer
Father, restore how I see myself through Your delight, not my performance. Teach me to receive correction as care, not rejection.
Reflection Question
