Restored Joy

Psalm 150 does not explain why we praise—it simply commands that we do. Praise here is wholehearted, embodied, and unrestrained. As the final psalm, it teaches us how to finish well: with gratitude rather than analysis, trust rather than striving.

Jehovah Rophe restores joy by loosening what sorrow has tightened. Ending the year in praise does not deny hardship; it declares that hardship does not define the story. Joy returns when praise leads the way.

“Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.” — Psalm 150:6

Prayer
God, restore my joy where weariness has taken its place. Let praise be my final word, not exhaustion or regret.

Reflection Question
What would it look like to let praise, not relief, mark the close of this year?
