Day 82 Remember What God Has Done

🌿 March 23rd — Psalm 66:1–20

Remember What God Has Done

by Torrie Slaughter

Psalm 66 is a call to remember what God has already done. It begins with celebration, but quickly turns personal as the psalmist reflects on both deliverance and testing.

“Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man.” (Psalm 66:5, ESV)

The invitation is clear: don’t just move forward—look back and recognize the faithfulness of God. Too often, we rush past answered prayers without pausing to acknowledge them. But remembrance strengthens trust.

“For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried.” (Psalm 66:10, ESV)

Not every difficult season is a sign of God’s absence. Some are evidence of His refining work. Just as silver is purified through fire, God uses pressure to remove what cannot remain.

“I cried to him with my mouth, and high praise was on my tongue.” (Psalm 66:17, ESV)

There is a maturity here: the ability to cry out and praise at the same time. This is not denial—it is alignment. The psalmist understands that God’s hand is present in both the trial and the deliverance.

As you reflect on Psalm 66 today, take a moment to consider what God has brought you through. The same God who was faithful then is faithful now.

Do not forget what He has done.

Reflection Question:
What is one specific moment where God proved His faithfulness in your life—and how can you carry that remembrance into today?
